This Privacy Policy explains what information Leadmeteor collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, Chrome extension, API, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Leadmeteor.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider.
- Usage data. We collect information about how you use the Service, such as searches you run, features you use, and pages you visit within our dashboard.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, handles your payment details. We receive limited billing information, like your plan and payment status, but never your full card number.
- Search and lead data. We store the searches you run and the leads, emails, and company information you find or save through Leadmeteor, so you can access them later.
- Chrome extension data. When you use our Chrome extension, it reads publicly visible content on the page you're currently viewing (such as a LinkedIn profile or a company website) in order to find contact information for you. It does not read pages you haven't opened, and it does not collect your browsing history.
- Publicly available web data. Our systems continuously crawl publicly accessible web pages to discover and verify email addresses and company information, independent of individual searches. This helps power the email finder and verifier for all users.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Find and verify email addresses on your behalf
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it
3. How we share your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run Leadmeteor, including our cloud hosting provider (Google Cloud), authentication provider (Firebase), payment processor (Stripe), and data-enrichment partners we use to find and verify emails
- Authorities, if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Leadmeteor or others
- A buyer, if Leadmeteor is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we'll let you know
4. Data retention
We keep your account information and search history for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us — see "Your rights" below.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Export your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected].
7. International data transfers
Leadmeteor's infrastructure runs on Google Cloud, which may store and process data in multiple regions. If you're located outside the country where our servers are based, your information may be transferred internationally, with appropriate safeguards in place.
8. Children's privacy
Leadmeteor isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly without them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect.
